God Has Done It Before, He Can Do It Again
Dr. Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre has reminded Christians that God is a God of unchanging nature and faithfulness. In his devotional message on August 13, 2026, he drew from Hebrews 13:8, which confirms that God does not change.
The Unchanging God
According to Dr. Enenche, God's previous acts or manifestations are pointers to His present and future acts and manifestations. He emphasized that what God did before, He is still able to do today. This is evident in the Bible, where God introduced Himself to Moses as "I AM THAT I AM" in Exodus 3:14. He is the same God today, tomorrow, and forever.
Faithfulness to God's Promises
Dr. Enenche also cited Malachi 3:6, which says, "For I am the Lord, I change not." This verse corroborates God's unchanging nature, power, mercy, and faithfulness. In the Bible, God's faithfulness is demonstrated in His promises, such as the one He made to Sarah in Genesis 21:1-2, where He said He would visit her and fulfill His promise. This is a reminder that God's word is always sure.
The Power of Testimonies
Dr. Enenche emphasized the importance of testimonies, which are revelations of possibilities. He said that when we see God move in another person's life, we should not become envious but become inspired. Testimonies are not stories meant for entertainment, but they are prophetic proofs that God is still at work. In Revelation 19:10, it is written, "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
A Proven Track Record
Dr. Enenche reminded his listeners that God has a proven track record of faithfulness. He has continued to prove Himself throughout all generations. This is why a major basis of our prayer is the record of what God has done before. We pray with confidence because God has continued to prove Himself. As Dr. Enenche said, "The God who did it before can do it again."
Strengthening Our Faith
Dr. Enenche encouraged his listeners to study the testimonies and miracles in Scripture to strengthen their faith. He also reminded them to refuse to envy those God has helped, but instead, let their testimonies inspire us. We should stand firmly on the unchanging nature and faithfulness of God.
A Call to Trust
In his prayer, Dr. Enenche asked God to strengthen his listeners' faith through His Word and testimonies. He prayed for them to trust God for everything and in every situation. He said, "Do in my life what only You can do, Lord in Jesus' Name."
Dr. Paul Enenche's devotional message has reminded Christians of God's unchanging nature and faithfulness. As we reflect on His past acts and manifestations, we are reminded that He is still able to do today what He did yesterday. May we trust in God's power and faithfulness, and may His testimonies inspire us to trust Him for all things.
