Breaking the Cycle of Lack: Unleashing Financial Dominion

Dr. Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) in Abuja, Nigeria, has emphasized the importance of financial dominion in advancing God's kingdom on earth. In his recent Seeds of Destiny devotional, he highlighted that the spread of God's kingdom in the earth requires the availability of kingdom resources.

The Purpose of Financial Dominion

According to Dr. Enenche, one major purpose of financial dominion amongst God's children is the advancement of God's kingdom on the earth. He pointed out that God does not release resources to His people merely for personal comfort; He does so to facilitate the spread of His kingdom and establish His purposes in the earth. Dr. Enenche noted that prosperity is one of God's instruments for kingdom expansion, citing Zechariah 1:17, which says, "Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem."

Kingdom Resources for Kingdom Advancement

Dr. Enenche emphasized that the preaching of the Gospel, missionary endeavours, neighbourhood outreaches, crusades, medical outreaches, and welfare interventions all require financial power. He stated that without resources, many kingdom assignments would remain visions rather than realities. Dr. Enenche also noted that the enemy is not comfortable with a prosperous Church, as a financially handicapped Church will struggle to carry out the Great Commission effectively.

The Example of David

Dr. Enenche cited the example of King David, who prepared abundantly for the building of the temple of God. In 1 Chronicles 29, David testified that he had prepared with all his might for the house of the Lord, giving generously from his personal treasures in addition to all that had been gathered for the project. Dr. Enenche highlighted that David's love for God's House translated into sacrificial financial commitment.

The Call to Financial Dominion

Dr. Enenche called on believers to pray for God to make them financial giants for kingdom advancement. He encouraged them to commit themselves to giving towards evangelism, mission works, and other kingdom projects as God enables them. Dr. Enenche also urged believers to refuse to see prosperity as a personal achievement alone; rather, they should view it as a tool for advancing God's purposes on the earth.

The Power of Kingdom Resources

Dr. Enenche emphasized that kingdom advancement requires kingdom resources. He stated that God is looking for men and women who will not only possess financial dominion but will also dedicate their resources to the promotion of His agenda on the earth. When God prospers His people, one of His expectations is that they become active participants in the spread of the Gospel and the establishment of His kingdom.

As believers, we are called to be active participants in the spread of the Gospel and the advancement of God's kingdom. This requires us to have a heart for kingdom resources and to be willing to dedicate our financial resources to the promotion of God's agenda on the earth. By doing so, we can be a part of the spread of God's kingdom and the establishment of His purposes in the earth.
